Airtel 5G: Exciting Plans & Coverage Across 3000 Indian Towns & Cities

Airtel has recently made headlines by announcing its biggest 5G deployment across the country, reaching across 3000 Indian towns and cities. Dubbed as Airtel 5G Plus, this fifth-generation network connectivity by the telco is available for Airtel users from Katra in Jammu to Kannur in Kerala, Patna in Bihar to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to the Union territory of Daman and Diu, covering all the key urban and rural parts of the country.

What makes Airtel 5G Plus stand out from its competitors is that any Airtel user within a 5G network area can access 5G connectivity without buying a new 5G SIM, as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G-enabled. This is a significant advantage over Jio, which currently offers 5G connectivity on an invitation-only basis.

Airtel is the first mobile operator in India to offer 5G for commercial use to all its users. With the official website of Airtel suggesting that the telco is planning to spread Airtel 5G Plus coverage across all major cities in India by December 2023, this is a significant step towards the company's commitment to bridge every town and key rural areas in India with the power of 5G.

Airtel has not launched any special plan for 5G, but the mobile operator is offering unlimited 5G data with a data plan of Rs 239 and above. Airtel users who are in 5G enabled cities can enjoy unlimited 5G data without worrying about the daily data cap if they have one of these active prepaid packs. Airtel is also offering unlimited 5G data on postpaid plans priced between Rs 399 and Rs 1499. Along with unlimited 5G access, these plans include unlimited calling and SMS benefits and free subscriptions to Amazon Prime and Disney Plus Hotstar.

To activate Airtel 5G Plus on your phone, go to Settings > Network and Connectivity > tap on Airtel SIM > Enable 5G. You can check if 5G is available in your area using the Airtel Thanks app. Airtel has also established 5G experience zones in all its retail stores across the country. So users who are still waiting for 5G to reach their city can experience fast-speed internet by visiting any Airtel store.

Airtel 5G Plus is a significant development in the telecommunication industry in India, and with its widespread availability and unlimited data plans, it is set to revolutionize the way people experience digital connectivity, create new business models, and transform industries such as education, healthcare, and manufacturing along the way.
