Harley-Davidson has launched its new X440 motorcycle in India, priced at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The X440 is a smaller, more affordable offering from Harley-Davidson, and is aimed at the entry-level segment.
The X440 is generated by a 425cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 31.4 bhp and 32 Nm of rotating force. It is a combination with a 6-speed manual transmission. The X440 has a claimed top speed of 160 mph.
The X440 features a retro-styled design, with a round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, and spoked wheels. It is available in two colours: Vivid Black and Gunship Grey.
The X440 is the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle to be manufactured in India. It is being produced at Harley-Davidson's Bawal plant in Haryana.
The X440 will compete with motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa Perak in the Indian market.
