Hero Unveils New Xoom Scooter Range At EICMA 2023

In a bold move at the 2023 EICMA Show in Milan, Hero MotoCorp, India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, unveiled two brand-new scooters – the Xoom 160 ADV maxi scooter and the Xoom 125 – poised to enter production after a thorough testing phase.

For years, Hero has been missing a premium scooter with a higher-displacement engine and enhanced performance. That wait is over, as Hero has just unveiled its first-ever 160cc scooter, the Xoom 160. Following a series of teasers, Hero fully unveiled the Xoom 160 at the 2023 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy.

Significantly more premium than any previous Hero scooter, the Xoom 160 holds promise for export potential to global markets, including Europe, where Hero has an established presence. This aspiration is evident in the scooter's construction, with high-quality components and exceptional fit and finish.

Dubbed the "SUV of 2W" and "Champion Of Off-beat Rides," the Xoom 160, powered by a 160cc engine and CVT transmission, is poised to set a new benchmark for rough-road capability among scooters in India, leveraging Hero's extensive expertise in rallying and off-roading.

The Xoom 160 directly rivals the Yamaha Aerox 155, boasting a range of impressive features, including twin-pod headlights, all-LED lighting, a tall windscreen, a step-less floorboard with a spine-mounted fuel tank, ample under-seat storage, generous ground clearance, a Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster with music and navigation controls, block-pattern tires, an ergonomic seat, a rear luggage rack, and an optional top box.

Equipped with single-channel ABS and a single disc brake setup at the front and rear, the Hero Xoom 160 appears production-ready and is expected to launch in 2024. Hero's Xoom 110 scooter launch raised questions about the absence of a 125cc variant. Addressing these concerns, Hero unveiled the Xoom 125 at the 2023 EICMA Show, positioning it as a direct competitor to the segment-leading TVS Ntorq 125.

The Xoom 125 exudes a premium aura, surpassing its Xoom 110 counterpart. Hero might have export ambitions for this scooter, considering the growing demand for premium 125cc scooters. The Xoom 125's sleek LED headlights with an eye-catching DRL signature further enhance its premium appeal.

The Xoom 125 boasts LED turn indicators, sophisticated character lines and contours, and a premium-looking, fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth and navigation support. Additionally, convenient storage pockets are provided behind the apron.
