Royal Enfield has launched its Super Meteor 650 motorcycle in the United States and Canada. The Super Meteor 650 is made in India and imported to North America.
The Astral and Interstellar variants of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 are available in the same colour options as in India: black, blue, and green for the Astral, and grey and green for the Interstellar. The Celestial variant, on the other hand, is available in a unique two-tone colour scheme of red and blue, with cream as the secondary paint.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 was launched in India this year and costs between Rs 3.54 lakh and Rs 3.84 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the third 650 cc model in Royal Enfield's lineup, after the Interceptor 650 Twin and the Continental GT650.
It is also the most expensive. In the United States, the cruiser starts at $7,000 and goes up to $7,500 for the top-tier Celestial Red variant, which is approximately Rs 5.83 lakh and Rs 6.24 lakh, respectively.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is powered by the same 648 cc parallel-twin oil/air-cooled engine that is found in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT650. This engine produces 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm.
It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. In terms of features, the Super Meteor 650 gets an offset circular instrument console and the RE Tripper navigation pod, which is borrowed from the Meteor 350.
