Adipurush Advance Booking Sales Ensure A Promising Opening; T-Series Clarifies Rumours Related To Lord Hanuman's Reserved Seat

The highly anticipated mythological drama Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, has witnessed a strong response in advance ticket sales. Within just one day, approximately 50,000 tickets were sold across cinema halls in the country, indicating a good opening for the film.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that the film, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, has already earned around Rs 1-2 crore from the sale of these 50,000 tickets. Leading national cinema chains such as PVR, Cinepolis, and INOX sold approximately 18,000 tickets by 6 pm on Sunday. Over the weekend, these chains collectively sold around 35,000 tickets.

Notably, Adipurush is also receiving mass bookings as several big stars show their support for the film. Ranbir Kapoor, Ananya Birla, and producer Abhishek Agarwal, known for backing films like Karthikeya 2 and The Kashmir Files, have each decided to purchase 10,000 tickets and distribute them among the underprivileged sections of society, free of cost.

Additionally, as a mark of respect to Lord Hanuman, director Om Raut requested that one seat in every theater playing Adipurush be kept reserved for the deity. However, there were reports suggesting that the seat next to the one reserved for Lord Hanuman would be priced higher.

T-Series, the production company behind the film, took to Twitter to clarify these reports, stating, "There are misleading reports circulating in the media regarding #Adipurush ticket pricing. We want to clarify that there will be no differences in rates for seats next to the one reserved for Hanuman Ji! Don't fall for false information! Jai Shri Ram! 🙏🏹."

Adipurush, with a reported budget of Rs 500 crore, features Prabhas as King Raghava, Kriti Sanon as his wife Janaki, and Sunny Singh as his brother Lakshman. Actor Saif Ali Khan portrays the role of Ravana in the film. Originally scheduled for a January 2023 release, the film was postponed to June 2023 to ensure a complete visual experience for the audience, following severe backlash on the quality of VFX in the initial teaser.

Mark your calendars as Adipurush is set to hit theaters on June 16, promising an epic cinematic experience.
