Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced that the best-selling sedan in India, Dzire, has reached a new milestone of 25 lakh customers, with a market share of 50%.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes standard with automatic LED projector headlights, SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors, and precision-cut alloy wheels. It is available in a range of variants, priced from Rs. 6.52 lakh to Rs. 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been a popular compact sedan in India for over 15 years, going through three generations since its initial launch in FY 2008-09. It was an instant hit with customers, reaching the one lakh sales milestone in just a year.
Maruti Suzuki India reported selling 72,451 compact vehicles in the previous month, a 1.2% increase year-over-year. Maruti Suzuki India's compact feature includes the Dzire, Baleno, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR models.
Maruti Suzuki India's domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 16.4% YoY to 156,114 units last month and its total monthly sales across parts hit a record high of 189,082 units, up from 165,173 units a year ago.
