Lotus Debuts in India with the World's Fastest Electric SUV
The famed British carmaker Lotus has made its Indian debut with the launch of the Eletre R, the world's fastest dual-motor pure electric SUV. Authorized representative Exclusive Motors will handle the brand's local operations.
The Eletre R is a powerhouse, with a top speed of 265 kmph and acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.95 seconds. The Eletre R also has a range of over 490 km on a single charge.
Lotus Eletre Prices Subject to Change; Slated for Launch in India Next Year
Lotus has announced that the prices of its Eletre electric SUV in India will be subject to change based on options chosen, exchange rate fluctuations, and tax changes. The Eletre is priced at Rs. 2.55 crore, the Eletre S at Rs. 2.75 crore, and the Eletre R at Rs. 2.99 crore.
The company has also confirmed that it will introduce its Emira mid-engined sportscar in India next year.
Lotus Eletre and Eletre S Offer 603 HP and 710 Nm, 600 km Range; Emira to Get Inline-4 and V6 Engine Options
The Lotus Eletre and Eletre S will offer a power output of 603 HP and 710 Nm, with a maximum claimed range of 600 km. The Emira will be sold with two powertrain options: a 2.0L inline-four turbocharged engine that develops around 360 HP and is paired with a DCT transmission, and a more powerful V6 supercharged mill that kicks out 400 HP and can be had with a manual or an automatic transmission.
