Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the facelifted version of the GLE SUV at Rs. 96.4 lakh. The facelifted version of the SUV comes packed with a host of features and upgrades.
The exterior of the facelifted GLE has been given a refreshed look. The grille is now wider and the headlights have been changed to a more angular design. The front bumper has also been slightly revised and the rear has a new bumper design with faux diffusers. The side profile remains largely unchanged with the same alloy wheels and roof rails.
The interior of the facelifted GLE has been given a major overhaul. The instrument cluster has been replaced with a new, digital unit and the infotainment system has been upgraded to the latest version with more features and functions. The cabin now feels more luxurious and upmarket.
The facelifted GLE is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine as before. However, it has been tweaked to produce more power and torque. The facelifted GLE is loaded with features and technology. It gets adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and parking assist.
The interior of the GLE features a new 3-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls from the S-Class, the latest MBUX infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Mercedes' 'Transparent Bonnet' function.
Other features include 4-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats with massage function, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera. Air suspension is available on the top-spec GLE 450 and 450d variants.
The GLE facelift is offered with three engine options: a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel with 265 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel with 362 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, and a 3.0-litre petrol with 375 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes-Benz's 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
