MG Motor India has cut the prices of the ZS EV by up to Rs 2.30 lakh, following price cuts for the Hector and Hector Plus. The ZS EV now starts at Rs 22.88 lakh for the Excite variant and goes up to Rs 25.90 lakh for the Exclusive Pro variant.
MG Motor India says the new prices are due to a reduction in input costs and a streamlining in the supply chain, as well as part of its 100-year celebrations. All prices are ex-showroom, India.
The base ZS EV Excite is now priced at Rs 22.88 lakh, Rs 50,000 less than its previous price. The Exclusive variant sees the biggest price cut of Rs 2.30 lakh, dropping to Rs 25.00 lakh from its previous price of Rs 27.30 lakh.
The newly introduced Exclusive Pro variant, which features MG's full suite of ADAS, is now priced at Rs 25.90 lakh, down Rs 2.00 lakh from its previous price of Rs 27.90 lakh. The ZS EV uses a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that develops 177hp and 280Nm of torque.
MG says the battery can be fully charged from 0-80% in an hour using a 50kW DC fast charger, and from 0-100% in up to 9 hours using a 7.4kW charger.
The MG ZS EV features a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a wireless charger, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and connected car tech.
