Tata Motors launched the 2023 Nexon facelift in India on Thursday, starting at ₹ 8.1 lakh. The new SUV comes with new features, an innovative design and new transmission options. It will be available in four variants: Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless.
Tata Motors had already opened pre-bookings for the 2023 Nexon facelift on September 4. At the same event, the company also unveiled the facelifted Nexon EV. The Nexon Facelift EV will be available in four colours: Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Intensi Teal and Flame Red.
Tata Motors announced today that the top of the Nexon facelift will be priced at ₹ 13 lakh (ex-showroom). The Nexon facelift is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. It is also available with a 1.5L diesel engine that produces 113 bhp.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said that the Nexon has been India's best-selling SUV for over 550,000 units sold for two consecutive years.
The Nexon EV facelift is available with two battery options: a 40.5kWh battery for the Nexon MR variant with a range of 325 km, and a 30kWh battery for the Nexon LR variant with a claimed range of 465 km. The Nexon EV MR is priced from ₹ 14.74 lacks to ₹ 17.84 lakh, while the Nexon EV LR is priced from ₹ 18.19 lakh to ₹ 19.94 lakh.
Tata Motors launched the Nexon crossover SUV at the Auto Expo in 2014, becoming the first automaker in India to do so. The Nexon occupies the sub-4 metre crossover SUV segment, which is the most popular segment in the Indian market.
