Indian Legendary Spinner Bishan Singh Bedi Is No More!

A piece of shocking news came from the BCCI on Monday. An iconic Indian cricketer, Bishan Singh Bedi, leaves the World at 77. Bedi suffered from long-term health issues and underwent various medical treatments.

He was a native of Amritsar and born on 25 September 1946. Bishan resides with his wife Anju, daughter Neha and son Angad Bedi.

Bedi served the Delhi Ranji Team as a long-time-serving captain. He was best known for his left-arm spin bowling. He symbolised India's National Cricket Team from 196 to 1979. The World knows him as one of the finest spinners in the sport's history. He played 67 matches in total with 266 wickets.

He has the honour of titles like Greatest Spinner Of All Time and the Game's Greatest Left-Arm Spinner.

Bedi, Erapalli Prasanna, BS Chandrashekhar, and S Venkataraghavan transformed the Indian cricket bowling spin legacy. During the tours of New Zealand and England, he became the manager of the Indian Cricket Team in 1990.

Various personalities expressed their grief on the demise of Bishan Singh. The Sports Minister, Anurag Thakur, said the Former captain of the Indian Cricket team, Bishan Singh Bedi, had passed away. That is an unbearable loss for cricket and for the Nation as well.

Home and Affairs Minister Amit Shah also gave tribute to the demise of Cricket legend Bishan Singh. He expressed his deep condolence on the X account post.
