The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistants 2023. The application process is now open and will close on October 4, 2023. Candidates can apply online at opportunities.rbi.org.in.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is looking to fill a total of 450 Assistant vacancies through this recruitment drive. The preliminary examination for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment will be held online on October 21 and 23, 2023. The main examination is tentatively scheduled for December 2, 2023.
To be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment, candidates must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962.
However, in the case of candidates who are of Indian origin but have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the permanent settling in India, they must provide an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.
Candidates who are between 20 and 28 years old as of September 1, 2023 (i.e., born between September 2, 1995 and September 1, 2003, both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. Relaxations for the reserved category candidates.
To be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate. SC, ST, and PwD candidates are not required to have a minimum of 50% marks, but they must have a bachelor's degree in pass class.
Ex-servicemen are eligible to apply for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment if they have either graduated or passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination and have served in the defence forces for at least 15 years. Candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office must be proficient in the language of the state falling under the recruiting office.
The selection of candidates for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment will be through a three-stage process: preliminary examination, main examination, and language proficiency test (LPT).
The Preliminary Examination will have three sections:
English Language: 30 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 30 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Numerical Ability: 35 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 35 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 35 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
The Main Examination will have five sections:
Test of Reasoning: 40 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 40 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Test of English Language: 40 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 40 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Test of Numerical Ability: 40 questions, each carrying 2 marks, for a total of 80 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Test of General Awareness: 40 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 40 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Test of Computer Knowledge: 40 questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 40 marks. You will get 20 minutes to solve the question.
Candidates who qualify in the main examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT) in the official/local language(s) of the state concerned.
The application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/EXS candidates is ₹50 plus 18% GST.
The application fee for GEN/OBC/EWS candidates is ₹450 plus 18% GST.
