Delhi Schools, Colleges Shut Till Sunday Amid Flooding, Yamuna Continues to Rise

The water level in the Yamuna has been rising due to heavy rains in the watershed areas of the river. The condition seems to be made worse because gradually more rains are expected in the coming days. The water level of the river is measured at 208.34 meters on Tuesday morning, which is just 0.66 meters which makes us unsafe below 209 meters.

The Delhi government has released a strict order and asked people to move to safer places and not to come close to fold-prone areas and stop visiting the hill station. The police and the NDRF have been deployed to carry out rescue operations.

The water level in the Yamuna has been increasing due to heavy rains because of the high probability of conditions being worse more rain is expected in the coming days.

The Delhi government has set up 22 relief camps in different parts of the city to provide help for those who are stuck and suffer from these rains. We are also providing food and medical help to the people.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the people to stay calm and cooperate with us. The rising water level in the Yamuna is a cause to make people worry. The authorities are taking important steps to handle this situation.
