Google Lens now allows you to take a photo of handwritten math equations and get step-by-step solutions. A new feature for physics word problems allows you to type in a question and it will identify the known and unknown variables, suggest relevant formulas, and explain how to use them to solve the problem.
Students can now use Google's math solver by typing a math problem into Google Search or taking a photo of an equation with Lens. The solver will then provide a step-by-step explanation and solution.
Google says that you can also type "math solver" to try the feature on desktop and, coming soon, on mobile. Lens can now interpret triangle problems visually and textually, and then provide step-by-step instructions on how to solve them.
