Google Voice Now Flags Suspected Spam Texts On Android and iOS

Google Voice spam text protections will be available to all users, regardless of their plan (Starter, Standard, or Premier). The rollout will be in process and complete in a few days. Google Voice has rolled out a new feature that warns users of suspected spam SMS Texts on Android and iOS devices.

When a suspected spam message is detected, a red exclamation mark will appear next to the sender's profile avatar, and the message preview will be labelled "Suspected spam" in a matching colour. Google stated that it is adding a new feature its suspected spam caller warnings to SMS messages on Android and iOS devices.

When a suspected spam message is detected, users will see the label "Suspected spam" within the message. They can confirm the message as spam, in this case, future messages from that number will be sent directly to the spam folder or mark the message as not spam, in which case the label will no longer be displayed for that number.

Google Voice spam text protections will be available to all users, regardless of their plan (Starter, Standard, or Premier). Google is testing a new AI-powered Proofread feature in Gboard for beta users. With Gboard version 13.4, users can have their text checked for spelling or grammar errors on the fly, powered by generative AI. When a potential error is detected, users will see a "Fix it" prompt.

The Proofread feature in Gboard works by sending the text to Google for processing if the user enables the feature. Now you can write anything without any mistake because the AI feature suggests you can correct the error and enjoy the user typing experience with this feature.
