New Delhi: The 69th National Film Awards held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi celebrated talent and excellence in the film industry. Among the stars who graced the occasion, Kriti Sanon stood out, receiving her first National Award for Best Actress for her remarkable performance in "Mimi."

The ceremony was not only a momentous occasion for Kriti but also a proud moment for her parents, Rahul Sanon & Geeta Sanon, who accompanied her. The trio posed for a heartwarming picture where Kriti looked stunning in a crimson-colored saree, her mother complementing in a red saree, and her father sporting a sea-green blazer over a shirt. Their smiles radiated joy and pride.

Sharing her excitement, Kriti Sanon posted a reel on her Instagram story, acknowledging the significance of the day and expressing her gratitude. She shared the award with Alia Bhatt for her outstanding performance in "Gangubai Kathiawadi."

Before the award ceremony, Kriti expressed feeling "blessed and fortunate" to have portrayed such a layered character. Winning the National Award left her overwhelmed and emotional. In August, she stated, "Mimi has been a very very special film, and to get the most prestigious award, the National Award for it, I just cannot thank the Jury enough for actually believing that my performance deserved this award."
