Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on August 7, 2023, in 13 railway stations across India.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) is a plan to improve 1,309 railway stations in India. The stations will be made more modern and comfortable for passengers.
The government has already started working on 508 stations, and they have invested ₹25,000 crore in this project. In the State, 13 railway stations will be improved with an investment of ₹303 crore. The ABSS will make train travel better for everyone.
The ABSS is a take major initiative by the government to improve the infrastructure of Indian Railways. The selected stations will be modernized and improved with an investment of ₹303 crore.
The rejuvenated railway stations will have many new and exciting features, including a roof plaza, shopping zone, food court, children's play area, segregated entry and exit gates, multi-level parking, lifts and escalators, executive lounge, waiting area, travelator, and physically challenged-friendly facilities.
