Strong Tremors Felt In Delhi As Nepal Experiences 5.6 Magnitude Earthquake

On Monday, there was another big earthquake in Nepal, with a magnitude of 5.6. It caused strong shaking felt in Delhi and nearby places. Nepal experienced its second earthquake in just 3 days, raising concerns about more potential quakes in region.

Seismology experts from National Centre confirmed that earthquake's center was 233 kms north of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The tremors created a sense of panic, with reports of vigorous shaking of furniture and desks across Delhi and the National Capital Region. Social media posts depicted people hastily evacuating residential buildings.

This recent earthquake followed a powerful 6.4 magnitude quake that struck Nepal previous Friday, resulting in tragic loss of at least 157 lives. This incident marked Nepal's most devastating earthquake since 2015. Nepal's location within one of the world's most active tectonic zones leaves it exceptionally susceptible to seismic events.
