Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, collected ₹14 crore on its second day at the box office, higher than Gadar 2's ₹12.5 crore on its third Saturday. Dream Girl 2 had a box office collection of ₹10.69 crore on its opening day.
Dream Girl 2, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, it is a sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl, in which Ayushmann Khurrana played Karam, a young man who cross-dresses as Pooja to make money to marry the love of his life, played by Ananya Panday.
The makers of Dream Girl 2 said that the film has appeared to be Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest opener to date and beating the opening day figure of his 2019 film Bala, which had earned ₹10.15 crore.
Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his happiness that Dream Girl 2 has got off to a great start at the domestic box office. Ayushmann Khurrana said that he is "amazed" to have delivered his career's best opening with Dream Girl 2.
Ayushmann Khurrana also said that as an entertainer, he feels amazing to bring people to theatres and see them have a great time.
