It remains to be seen how the film will perform after Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan releases in theatres on September 7. On Tuesday, September 5, Dream Girl 2 had an overall occupancy of 16.46%.
Dream Girl 2 follows the story of Karam (Ayushmann Khurrana), a small-town boy who dreams of a better life. He moves to Mathura for a better life, but things don't go as well as planned.
He falls in love with Pari (Ananya Panday), but her father doesn't approve of him. In a desperate attempt to win her over, Karam takes on the identity of a woman named Pooja. Dream Girl 2 is directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
