Two big Bollywood movies are releasing today. One is OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and the other is Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol. Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar to Battle for Box Office Supremacy This Independence Weekend.
OMG 2 is part two of the 2012 movie OMG:
Oh My God! It is about a man who challenges God after his shop is destroyed in an earthquake. Akshay Kumar plays the role of the man, but he is no longer playing Lord Shiva. He is now playing Shiva's messenger.
Gadar 2 is part two of the 2001 movie Gadar:
Ek Prem Katha. It is about a Sikh truck driver who falls in love with a Muslim girl during the partition of India. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are reprising their roles from the first movie.
Both movies have been getting good reviews from critics and audiences. Advance bookings for both movies are strong. Gadar 2 is leading in some parts of the country, but OMG 2 is also doing well.
