Salaar Rise Over Dunki: Prabhas Defeats The Box Office With ₹18 Crore Opening Day

December promises a box office showdown between two highly expected movies: Prabhas' dynamic actioner Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire and Shah Rukh Khan's charming Dunki. While both films are competing for box office glory, it appears Salaar has taken an early lead. According to Sacnilk.com, its bookings have already exceeded ₹18 crore, leaving Dunki following with ₹12 crore.

Dunki arrives first, gracing the silver screen on December 21st with its promise of laughter and drama. Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu team up under the legendary Rajkumar Hirani's direction, making it an event not to be missed. But just a day later, on December 22nd, Prabhas releases his action prowess in Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire. Directed by Prashanth Neel, this film promises adrenaline-pumping thrills and electrifying stunts.

While the Salaar vs. Dunki battle might play out nationally, the languages smear a fascinating picture of early dominance. In Telugu, Salaar's roar is absolute, raking in over ₹14 crore with 632,000+ tickets sold. Malayalam repeats the sentiment, adding another ₹1.37 crore. But don't count Dunki out just yet! While weakening in these areas, it's making its presence felt in Tamil and Kannada, securing early wins with ₹63 lakh and ₹18.8 lakh respectively.

Dunki holds a regular lead, raking in over ₹11 crore compared to Salaar's ₹2 crore. But don't underestimate the power of IMAX! Both films saw a surge in premium bookings, with Salaar raking in a cool ₹23 lakh and Dunki pulling in nearly ₹80,000.

Across all languages and formats, Salaar has accumulated a massive ₹18.54 crore from over 860,000 tickets sold, showcasing its widespread appeal. Dunki, with its ₹11.46 crore from Hindi bookings, is certainly not playing catch-up.
