On Gandhi Jayanti, Kangana Ranaut and the makers of RSVP Movies released the teaser for her upcoming film Tejas on X (formerly Twitter). Ranaut plays an Indian Air Force pilot in the film. In the short clip, she looks powerful and determined as she prepares to take off from an Air Force station in her flying suit.
The makers of Tejas released the teaser on Twitter, with the caption:
She is ready to take off for the love of her nation because if you touch India, she will not leave you. The trailer will be released on Indian Air Force Day, October 8, and the film will hit theatres on October 27.
Often, the sacrifices of our brave women in uniform go unnoticed by the nation. Tejas is a film where I have the honour of playing an Air Force pilot who puts country before self. I hope we instil a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today with this movie. I'm looking forward to the journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie on this one.
Tejas was originally scheduled for release in December 2020. Kangana Ranaut announced the film's release date in August 2020, stating in a statement that she was "honoured" to play an Air Force pilot in a film that celebrates the "brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty every day."
However, Tejas has been delayed several times since its original release date in December 2020. The film was originally scheduled to release on October 20, clashing with Ganapath, a film directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Amitabh Bachchan. However, Tejas has now been postponed to October 27.
