WhatsApp Introduces Passkeys For More Secure And Convenient Logins

WhatsApp is rolling out Passkeys, a passwordless login method, to Android devices in the coming days.

WhatsApp announced on Monday that Android users can now log in securely using passkeys, which are unlocked with their face, fingerprint, or PIN.

WhatsApp said in a statement to TechCrunch that passkeys will make logging in easier and more secure. The security will roll out over the next few weeks and months.

As announced by WhatsApp, users only need to use their face, fingerprint, or PIN to unlock and access their WhatsApp account.

Passkeys are more secure than usernames and passwords because they are not easy to hack and require the user's physical presence to log in, making it more difficult for hackers to access to accounts.
